Team Kermantle

Team Kermantle was formed in 2006 with the goal of being freaked out on the tops of mountains and sides of rock faces and coming home to tell disinterested people all about it. As Conrad Ankner said in a slide show, "The point of climbing is to be extremely freaked out on the mountain and come back down and be able to enjoy life more fully."

Two of our inspirations are Steve House and Kasha Rigby. Steve House climbs in pure alpine style, meaning no fixed ropes and huge teams. Kasha Rigby is a ski-mountaineer, so she climbs up badass mountains and then telemarks down then.

Kermantle has over 3 members and with over a combined 20 years of experience thinking about climbing. Last year we summited more than 3 peaks (8 if you count Mt. Defiance, 20 if you count Mt. Tabor).
